I had a crush on a guy all throughout high school. After he graduated, and I was in the 8th grade, I hadn't seen him.
Now, I'm in 11th grade, and I got some news from my mom. She said that a boy named Corben was getting married.
I was confused; who was Corben? She chuckled, and explained that he was the boy I had a crush on in high school. I nodded, and blushed, both understanding and being a little embarassed that my mum remembered.
So I asked her what her name was, and she gave me a confused look. "Not a girl, a guy." she responded. I was kinda shocked.
I didn't know he was gay! I would've freakin' asked him out if I did! Well... Okay maybe not, but... Wow... Getting married?
If you don't know me, I live in Michigan. As of right now (2007) gay marriage is illegal. So, we all flew to New York to the ceremony. It's like any other ceremony, except for a bride and groom, there was two grooms.
It was beautiful. Both were very good looking I might say. I did notice, though, that Corben's parents weren't there; They didn't support him. Never did, on his decision. However, his new husband's parents had promised to take them both in until they could finish school...
...It was wonderful :3 I loved seeing it. The union of two happy in-love people, no matter WHAT the lifestyle... It was great to see... Now, if only Michigan could follow that example...

I'm tired of all the bible bashers out there. one line "man shall not lay with man as he lays with woman." and they think they can judge. they take the lords name in vein. they kill claiming it's for god and harass because of something we have no control over. i have no hard feeling for them. i have some religous freinds(mostly baptist) who are very supportive. one of which is my best friend. she totally didnt care. she didnt think it was rite but she loves me enough 2 show the suppoort. and oh ya contrates 2 the lucky couple!!! |

I personally dont see the big deal when it comes to gay marriage. and i don't think the bible is totally 100% accurate anyway. When you think about it, the bible was written by men, and they had their own moral standards that they wrote down. It only mentions anti-gay once in the bible if i remember right. And even though the bible also says "all scripture is inspired of god" that doesnt mean god spoke to each of the writers and told him what to write word for word. The writer obviously wrote what he thought was right. The day scientists prove that Homosexuality is a genetic trait will be a great day in mankinds history. lol great story btw |
