"I'm WHAT?!" Felix yelled, seeming to shake the whole office with his sheer vocal power. "Fired," said his boss, without so much as a blink. "You missed three weeks about a year ago, and while we should've fired you then, we were busy on the Sullivan case, If you'll recall." "Bullshit! That was unused vacation time. And besides, I was in the middle of a divorce! You should at least understand my situation!" " I would if you hadn't hooked up with another man. Now turn in your badge, clean out you

Felix woke up the next morning feeling satisfied. The sex he had last night was the best he had ever had, definitely surpassing that of his wife. Speaking of which, Felix remembered that the divorce battle had finally ended over the past week. He was officially separated from his ex-wife. "Thank god I'm finally free from that bitch," he thought, although he was going to miss his old house.

Ray woke up with Felix's arms still wrapped around his muscled frame, his black hair spillin

Felix woke up breathing hard. He had that dream again, the one in which the strange man, identified as Oliver Tristen, actually shot both him and Ray. "It's a good thing that I was able to arrest him and that Ray called the police to take him away," Felix thought. He did all he could, and he loved him even more for that bravery. F

"It never fails," he told himself, "The very second I'm done with someone and just trying to relax, when someone chooses to show up on our doorstep." He grumbled as he slowly got dressed and answered the door. He was surprised and frightened at what he saw.

"Who is it?" c

Felix spent the rest of the day thinking about his sexuality, Ray, and how he would tell his family and friends. He was still trying to figure it out, but he knew that he would get through it eventually. A long as didn't crawl back into a bottle or back to his ex-wife, he'd be okay. Speaking of bottles, his hangover was still as big as Paris Hilton's ego, and he needed a cure, conveniently located across town in his apartment. The cure? More alcohol. But when he arrived at his place, he found a

This is the first part of multi-part fiction story about a gay detective's life, so I hope everyone enjoys it!

Felix Aimes was tired. Not tired as in sleepy, but just tired of his living hell. He had an apartment smaller than a breadbox with rent that only Donald Trump could even dream of paying, a divorce that was long and was the living equivalent of putting out a fire with gasoline, and his love life when he wasn't in the midst of arguing with his ex-wife had gone to hell.
