In ancient Greece, athletes came from Sparta, Athens, and other city-states
across the Hellenic empire to compete in the Olympic Games at the stadium
in Olympia. The biggest difference in the ancient games was the fact that
the athletes competed in the nude with their bodies coated in oil, their
muscles glistening in the sun. Up to 70,000 spectators traveled from
far-flung sites to watch these athletes perform. One key restriction was a
ban on married
